On April 23rd, 2024, a Guatemalan citizen filed a submission to the Secretariat for Environmental Matters of the Free Trade Agreement between the Dominican Republic, Central America, and the United States of America – CAFTA-DR (SEM), in which he asserts that the Republic of Guatemala is allegedly failing to enforce its environmental legislation effectively.
On February 8, 2024, Ernesto Inoa, in his name and on behalf of the collective "Grupo Ecológico Mundo Libre", filed a submission to the Secretariat for Environmental Matters of the Free Trade Agreement between the Dominican Republic, Central America, and the United States of America - DR-CAFTA (SEM), in which he asserts that the Dominican Republic is allegedly failing to enforce its environmental legislation effectively.
On February 2, 2024, the Tropical Ecological Foundation (FUNDETROP) and the Cibao Ecological Society (SOECI) and others, filed an environmental submission to the Secretariat of Environmental Matters of the Free Trade Agreement between the Dominican Republic, Central America and the United States of America -CAFTA-DR(SEM)-, in which they assert that the Dominican Republic is allegedly failing to comply with the effective application of its environmental legislation.
On January 24, 2023 the Grupo Ecológico Mundo Libre GREMULI, Grupo Ecológico Serie 36, Fundación Ecológica Tropical, Fundación Ángeles de las Aguas Inc. and Asociación para el Desarrollo de Carrizal Comunidades Unidas en Defensa de la Sierra Federación de Juntas de Vecinos de SAJOMA inc. (FEJUDEVESA) submitted a submission to this Secretariat in which they asserted that the Dominican Republic is failing to effectively enforce its environmental legislation.
On May 17, 2022, a Submitter who requested their information to remain confidential, filed a Submission to the Secretariat for Environmental Matters of the Free Trade Agreement between the Dominican Republic, Central America, and the United States of America - DR-CAFTA (SEM), in which they assert that the Republic of El Salvador is allegedly failing to enforce its environmental legislation effectively.
